There was an article on the local news about reusable grocery bags and how dirty they are, here is a link to the video http://www.wric.com/global/video/fla...o&rnd=57056476
Has anyone washed them? What is the best way? Should I just throw them in the washer with my laundry? My dryer is broken so I wouldn't have to worry about that since everything gets hung up to dry. |

I've washed some on gentle/low spin, inside out. Clothespin corners of the bottom to a hanger to dry
The colours ran on one of mine. Oh well! K |

Thanks Kermitfan, I threw four in with a load of colours. Had to rewash DS17's jeans so I tossed them all in together. Hopefully they will hold up if not oh well it was only 4. I know I have a bunch more but who knows where the DKs have put them.

Mine are mostly nylon, so they're easy to wash and dry. Some of the "free" bags I have probably would not go in the washer, though--maybe just wipe those down or something?
I toss my bags in now and then, but it's a good reminder that they DO need to get washed. Rolling around on the floor of my car is probably not the most sanitary thing in the world...ha. To say the least!
