    I signed up for A Simple Year and had a plan to make this my one big project for the year along with my goals. The last few weeks my email has been inundated with various challenges. I deleted some immediately, but others looked like a great way to make progress in some areas related to my goals. A Simple Year started three days ago and I have not touched it. I spent the afternoon drilling down on the stuff in my inbox deleting anything that looked like a good thing but left me feeling lukewarm or downright overwhelmed. I put two things on my maybe list and will download materials in case I decide to use them later. I feel so much lighter already with the simple act of saying no to some good things to make time for the best things.

    Plans changed and I am indeed at the paid gig today. Dh is working from home. Ds17 has the stomach bug and other Ds17 isn't feeling all that great either.

    Good morning! It's our first snow day of the year. Less than an inch, but it's so cold that as soon as the salt melts the snow it's refreezing. The trucks are laying salt non-stop and the roads are still a mess.

    This week has been pretty much
    a hopeless case. Hoping to have
    a better week next week.

    New budget set up, savings account
    opened, bills paid.

    Another 8 in of snow this week and it
    is still on the roads. dh is doing all the
    driving; plan to do some grocery shopping
    today and settle in for the weekend.
