    I went to the Orthopedic specialist on wed 6th June.
    He wants me to have an MRI on my left knee,
    then go back and see him a week later.
    He want to see if there is anything he can do
    for my knees and which one needs attention first.
    He said something about an arthroscopy and chipping or scrapping
    away at the meniscus to give me some releif and to help the
    joint. He said that 15 years is too long to wait for an operation
    and I cannot live with pain and swelling for that long.

    He also said weight loss is good for the joints, however, he understands that
    it is difficult and not as easy as the "experts" say. Not being able to do any
    exercise is the biggest problem.

    So I thought about it for a few days, cut down on what I was eating and then I
    cut out sugary things. I started on Friday and the results have been good so far.

    So ...the only way to do this is to be accountable
    and come on here and write down everything I eat and my progress.

    Sat 9th June - 94kg (207.2lbs)
    Sun 10th June - 93.3kg (205lbs)
    Mon 11th June - 92.3kg (203.4lbs)
    Tue 12th June - 91.6kg ( 201.9lbs)

    6:30am - 1 glass of grape juice
    12:20pm - 1 glass of orange juice, KFC snack box (chips and popcorn chicken)
    1 glass of water
    5 bite size pieces of honey dew melon
    1 glass grape juice
    6:45pm 1 glass of juice, 1 sausage, mashed potato's carrots, peas , corn and gravy

    tomorrow: drink more water

    Breakfast: 1 glass of apple/blackcurrant juice
    Lunch: 1 small plate of fried rice
    Dinner: spaghetti bolgenese
    fruit: 18 cherries
    drinks: 1 glass water, 600ml fruits of the forest juice, 400 mls orange juice

    Frustration: I have no idea how much I actually weigh...the scales gave me 4 different readings this morning.
    92.5 (203.9lbs)
    92.8 (204.5lbs)
    92.1 (203lbs)
    and the last one...in a different room/same scales 93.1 (205.2lbs)
    I weighed myself the first 3 times in my bathroom...and wondered how I could have put on weight overnight...considering I have cut back on so much.
    I got the last reading in my bathroom after I moved the scales to a different spot, mmmm curious, so took the scales out into the hallway to show Tahnee what they were doing...and in the time I walked across my room and opened the door, I had put on 1 kg (2lbs).

    So it looks like we might be buying new sales and I am only weighing myself once a week.

    Didn't end up buying new scales.
    I think I have figured out where I am supposed
    to stand to get the correct weight on the scales we have.

    Drink: half a cup of juice (8:50am)
