    Good Morning!

Yes, it's still morning here...at least for about 45 minutes. We are typically ambitious today - DH is napping under a cat, the dog dragged himself out of his kennel and stretched out in the middle of the room for a nap, DS16 is playing one of his new games, and I haven't even seen DS13 - the night owl - yet.

I need to do some meal planning and make a grocery list. That's first, then we'll see.

I have been reading cookbooks and working on my new approach...

It's going to be sort of a big change in the way we have done things around here (which really isn't working, and the busier we get, the worse it becomes.) If I can get things properly in place, we should be able to have dinner on the table in 10 - 20 minutes most nights, with a couple hours worth of prep and cooking on the weekend.

DH and I have designated New Year's Day as the "Kitchen Clean-Out" day, officially.

Need to blitz the whole house. But that's nothing new.
    feed zoo
    quicken
    [] round up stray laundry
    [] round up stray dishes

    clean aquarium

    laundry moving

15 minute rotations - start with the worst of the disaster:
    MBR
    [] craft area
    [] kitchen
    [] Room Of Doom

The guys both want to go to Barnes and Noble, so there's that. ... I should drop off a box to shred at Office Max, too.

Happy New Year to you all from Australia.

    What a day yesterday....
Mike and I went to the cinema (using our free tickets) to see
Les Miserable - WOW - absolutely loved it!!
Had car problems on the way home....threw an alternator belt,
rang Aaron to come and pick me up and Mike rang our Auto club.
They sent a tow truck to get the car home. Mike will work on the car
tomorrow as everything is closed today.
Spent New Years Eve falling asleep until 11:20pm. Tahnee rang at 11:30pm
(Adelaide is half an hour ahead of us). Then my parents rang.
No street party this year...everyone was doing their own thing!

Today I am going to potter around the house, do some washing, give the house
a general tidy. Nothing exciting. Plan some goals etc.

    Done:

    showered and dressed
    made bed
    do clicking
    delete spammers
Taking Care of Me: eat breakfast
    chat to Asenath via facebook

    Plan of Attack:

    collect washing
    do washing
    hang washing on line
    fold and put away washing
    put away birthday cards
find homes for birthday and christmas presents
    tidy family room
    tidy MBR chest of drawers
    change calendars over
pick up things on MBR floor
Taking Care of Me: eat lunch, take olive leaf juice, and krill oil tablets
    set dishwasher going
    warm up dinner
Taking Care of Me: eat dinner
Taking Care of Me: take blood pressure tablets and multi vitamins
    spend time with Mike
    water outdoor plants

List of things to be sorted:

    tidy up under the pergola
    repot my avocado plant
add more potting mix to my red frangipani
    plant radishes
take christmas decorations down/pack them away
hang some new art work/photo frames
Public Affairs: photocopy the rest of the music for fireside
start sanding back the outdoor table
start looking at goals for 2013
