Default What's for dinner????

I am going to try to get my meals planned out better. Will set up a menu system and try for at least soup or salad or both for dinner, and maybe some bread.

Tonight's offering:
pork chop
mashed potatoes and cream gravy
lima beans
lettuce and tomato salad

dessert:
Christmas cookies

Tonight will be the first night I'm cooking since I left for Tucson!

I don't have an extended plan for the weekend and up coming week. Tonight's meal will be something out of the freezer no doubt. Whatever I have the side fixins for.

Just hit Costco and came home with:

turkey breast
pork tenderloin
top round (stirfry)
chicken breasts

Not sure how that translates to dinner yet...

Past two nights were:
Beef and Broccoli with brown rice
Beef, peppers, onions and carrots over noodles with peanut sauce (yeah, I know, it's our "easy out" that everyone will eat.)

Tonight was sort of a Yakisoba thing with noodles, chicken, peppers, broccoli and carrots...I'm sensing a theme, but DH has been doing most of the cooking, so no complaints from me!

Last night was grilled cheese and tomato soup, tonight I need to do something with these marinating pork tenderloins.

I'm trying a new bbq chicken recipe in the crockpot tonight. That's as far as I've gotten with this week's menu list. Need to step that up, some member of the family has something each and every night this week.

FWIW, Emily (and no, I'm not Zip nor do I play her on tv) I toss my turkey breast into the crockpot. Put some seasonings of choice on it (with us it's a little fresh cracked black pepper) and let the crockpot do the work. We don't like turkey that much, so a turkey breast works out great for us.

:lolcoffee: rskmom!!

The one I bought this time is pre-marinated, so I was thinking to just toss it in the oven.

Now I might toss it in the crockpot!

rskmom:

Rocky mountain soup uses 2 cans of ranch beans, 1 small can tomato sauce, 4 cups beef broth, 1 pk. of polish sausage (cut into quarters and bite sized pieces), an onion, diced; 2/3 cup instant rice, and garlic to taste.

brown the sausage (original recipe called for 6 slices of bacon crumpled) , onion and the 2 cloves garlic ; then add the broth (recipe calls for water, I like the beef broth better) beans with juice, tomato sauce, and rice. Salt and pepper to taste.
